Back to the diary

I have adhered a new track in my workshop, using the clothoid-drawing program from 11.7.2006. First, I've build a template for a 180° curve.

I made a screen shot and set the DPI to the value, which was displayed in the drawing. Then I printed out this image, step by step, on DIN A4 papers.

I stuck all the small papers together.

And at the end, I had the curve in the original size.

Because the whole thing was a bit fragile, I glued all the papers onto a roll of wall paper, which I had in my cellar.

Then, I cut the large template.

And I used it to adhere the curve onto the floor.

This is the folded template, which I can reuse, now. And the new track is working quite fine.
